Diet Transition

Chuck and Pie have been here about 2 weeks and their diet transition seems to be going very well. When they first arrived there were on a primarily seed diet and seemed to show little interest in changing that. Jen really got the ball rolling by getting them to try a few different things. Now their diet is primarily Zupreem Fruit Blend and chop. The chop for the next few days consists of cabbage, mixed leafy salad greens, kale, celery, green and yellow pepper, carrot, alfalfa hay, corn, nuts and strawberries. They also get a small amount of seed and some Tops pellets. Every day they eat more and more the mix. They really seem to like this mixture.  Of course the seed goes first but they are eating a great deal of the chop. They are doing much better at transitioning than my parakeets which have threatened to move out should this chop experiment continue...
