Updates

We got Chuckie and Pie out of the cage the other day because we wanted to start hand training them and needed some pictures for the adoption site. Chuckie ended up spending most of the time happily perched on my shoulder. Pie was pretty unfriendly at first but started to warm up a bit after a while. They are pretty food motivated  and love seed so they will be pretty trainable I think. We had them both on the table and both apparently think they can still fly, cause they both launched themselves off the end of the table only to land unceremoniously on the ground at one point.

    Both birds are doing fabulous on the diet transition. They are eating mostly chop and pellets with just a little seed. Both birds are starting to appear much stronger and healthier as a result. Pie is even starting to get a couple feathers back on her head. I am not sure how many will come back but some is better than none
